Position: Graphic Designer
Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote flexibility available with occasional travel to San Francisco)
Duration: 3-month contract
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $58-63/hour
Job Overview:
We are excited to invite an experienced Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team in San Francisco! This 3-month contract role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our developer experience team by creating impactful visual assets for an annual event. While we strongly prefer candidates local to San Francisco, we are also open to remote applicants who are willing to travel occasionally to the area.
In this role, you will have the chance to showcase your creativity by designing a variety of materials, including presentations, social media promotions, video content, branded merchandise, and signage. Collaborating closely with product teams and stakeholders, you will gain insights into user journeys, identify design needs, and deliver visually compelling, on-brand graphics that make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
Create Branded Visuals: Design promotional graphics that align with our established style guides and brand standards.
Optimize Digital Assets: Ensure images are web-ready and optimized for efficiency without compromising quality for fast download speeds.
Develop Design Templates: Create and refine graphic templates and style guides that enhance project consistency and visual appeal.
Manage Multiple Projects: Juggle various design requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Maintain strong communication with team members to ensure alignment on project objectives and design requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 4 years in a web production or digital design environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. Familiarity with Dreamweaver, HTML, and CSS is a plus. Knowledge of Flash and ActionScript, as well as video and illustration skills, are beneficial.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-Motivated: Ability to manage projects independently with a proactive approach.
