Job Description

Job Overview: The Regional Operations Scheduler orchestrates and optimizes project scheduling, resource allocation, and operational logistics across their assigned territory. This role serves as the central coordination point between field operations, crew, suppliers, customer service teams, and material management while ensuring accurate labor tracking, payroll processing and tracking material returns chargebacks and credits. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Schedule Management: 

  • Create and maintain master schedule for your regional projects 
  • Coordinate with Inside/Field Customer Service teams for project timeline confirmation 
  • Optimize crew assignments based on skill sets and project requirements 
  • Manage schedule changes and communicate with teams 
  • Balance workload across crews to maximize efficiency 

Material Coordination: 

  • Track material deliveries and verify against estimator specifications 
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely material pickups and deliveries 
  • Monitor material staging locations and logistics 
  • Alert management of potential material delays or discrepancies 
  • Reconcile material quantities against estimates for accuracy 

Payroll & Labor Management: 

  • Review and approve labor invoices & receipts from subcontractors 
  • Track and report special pay circumstances 

Communication Hub: 

  • Provide daily schedule updates or changes if any 
  • Coordinate with estimating team on material specifications 
  • Report scheduling conflicts and resolutions to management 
  • Facilitate communication between field crews and support teams 

Performance Tracking: 

  • Monitor crew productivity and schedule adherence and provide to proper managers 
  • Generate weekly and monthly performance reports 
  • Identify trends in scheduling efficiency and material usage

Requirements

Education: Associates degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field 

Experience: 

  • 3+ years scheduling experience in construction or field operations 
  • Experience with workforce management systems 
  • Proficiency in payroll processing and labor tracking 

Skills: 

  • Advanced Excel and scheduling software expertise 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Knowledge of construction terminology and processes
