We’re looking for a Product Design Intern to join our team. You’ll be supported by a talented and collaborative group of product designers who will ensure this is your most valuable and hands-on internship experience yet.
This role is for an intern with a genuine desire to learn from the best, champion user voices, and take ownership of real product challenges. You’ll work on complex design problems, contribute directly to key projects, and see your work ship to production. At Ramp, interns aren’t just observers—they drive meaningful impact, solve real problems, and help shape product experiences in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
Design impactful and delightful solutions that help save Ramp users time and money
Learn how finance and accounting teams work by shadowing research calls and observing how customers use our products. Dive into user feedback/data to identify points of friction and opportunities for improvement
Become a vital member of the Design Team with guidance from a mentor (a fellow product designer), your design manager, and colleagues from cross-functional teams
Contribute to the user experience for significant parts of our core product
Contribute to our design system (Ryu) to help us ship higher quality design, faster
Participate in day-to-day team rituals like design crit, story creation, weekly stand-ups, etc.
Attending post-secondary education with an expected graduation date between 2025 - 2027
Prior experience collaborating with product managers and engineers
A portfolio of product design samples, either from personal projects or past internships
Passion for all aspects of the design process, including product strategy, UI/UX, visual design, and interaction design
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Figma
A strong understanding of software engineering workflows and principles is encouraged
