Our store also features three self-service dog wash stations and provides convenient in-store pick-up, curbside pick-up, and local delivery services.
**Position Summary**
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable Pet Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about animals, has a strong interest in natural pet care, and enjoys interacting with pets and their owners. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, advising on our range of natural products, and managing our dog wash services. **Key Responsibilities**
- Greet customers and their pets warmly, provide an inviting and informative shopping experience.
- Assisting the owner in daily store operations.
- Providing exceptional customer service, including handling inquiries and offering product recommendations.
- Become proficient in our product range, with an emphasis on natural and holistic pet care, to offer tailored recommendations to pet parents.
- Manage the dog wash stations, including gathering and preparing all necessary supplies, instructing customers on the proper use of the washing systems, cleaning and restocking after use.
- Learning how to and properly bathing a dog, if requested by the customer in our We-Wash service.
- Process sales transactions efficiently while engaging customers in conversations about their pet’s needs.
- Assists in receiving and stocking inventory, rotating, restocking, fronting, facing and cleaning.
- Participate in ongoing training about natural pet care products and practices to remain a knowledgeable resource for our customers.
- Collaborate with the team to organize in-store events or workshops.
- Carries customers purchases to their cars.
- Ensures the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
- Overseeing the self-service dog wash stations and ensuring they are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive resolution.
**Qualifications:**
- Must be at least 18+ years of age.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is required, preferably in a pet-related field.
- Strong knowledge of pet products, self-dog wash equipment and pet care.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to engage positively with customers and their pets.
- Willingness to learn about natural and holistic pet care products.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
