Under the direction of the Associate Director of The Wellness Center, the Licensed Professional Counselor; Licensed Clinical Social Worker; or Licensed Clinical/Counseling Psychologist is responsible for providing the following services: mental health intake assessments; triage evaluations; treatment planning; individual and group therapy; crisis intervention; case management; referral services; and, as designated by the Associate Director, supervision of graduate trainees.
In this grant-funded position, the successful candidate will begin to build the foundation for a fee-for fee-for-service community clinic which collaborates with the Wellness Center and community partners to deliver much needed mental health services specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RODBT). In addition to the DBT models, this clinician would be delivering unique professional training opportunities to community members and students through evidenced-based treatments that address a multitude of mental health related diagnoses and issues, and in particular the individuals most like to die by suicide, attempt suicide, engage in self-injury and other high risk behaviors including substance abuse, eating disordered behaviors, and homicidality. The successful candidate will also assist in the development of curriculum and research focused on addressing high risk behavior.

Education:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Master’s degree in Counseling, or Ph.D./Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology is required.

At least three (3) years clinical experience required in a mental health outpatient setting with demonstrated experience working with diverse populations; performing risk assessments; intake evaluations; individual and group psychotherapy; and supervision of other professionals and/or trainees.
As required by the State of New Jersey, must complete a criminal history check, and have proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. This position is grant funded and is contingent upon budget appropriations.
