Job Summary: 

Provides direct patient care to patients under the direct supervision of a nurse.

Essential Job Functions:

1) Ensures comfort and safety of patients at all times.

2) Answers all call bells promptly.

3) Assists with activities of daily living.

4) Repositions patients per plan of care.

5) Takes vitals, accu checks, measures input/output and weighs patients as required/ordered.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Current Medical Assistant Certificate
• Current BLS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Refer to Nursing Policy Iv-F.3
