The Position:

The Laser Service Technician will demonstrate our SEI Laser product line to potential customers in-house at our facility in West Hartford and also provide technical assistance on equipment at existing customer sites. Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate our various SEI laser cutting machinery for potential customers and high-level visitors
  
• Provide training and instruction on the operation and maintenance of the equipment to customers upon installation of new equipment
  
• Troubleshoot and repair machine issues as needed
  
• Maintain documentation of all demonstrations and trainings
  
• Look for opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and create enthusiasm and pride in Matik and its systems and equipment to maximize sales potential
  

About You:

• Passionate about working with cutting edge technology
  
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  
• At least 3 years of troubleshooting mechanical/electrical technology via PLC
  
• Able to read mechanical, pneumatic and electric drawings
  
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  
• Ability to instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of equipment
