The position includes teaching four sections, with preference given to candidates with the experience or ability to teach Italian 1, 2, 3, and AP Italian. This full-time position also includes contributing to the student experience outside of the classroom, such as coaching a sport or academic team (matched with the candidate’s skills and experience) or working with students in the Academic Support Program. 

Full-time faculty members typically serve as an adviser for a group of 6-8 students in one grade; attend department, grade-level adviser, and faculty meetings; maintain verbal and written professional contact with students, colleagues and families; serve on one faculty committee; chaperone after-school student events; participate in the broader life of the School; and, support the school community by setting a positive example in all areas of school life.

  • Possess cultural proficiency in fostering an inclusive classroom, adapting materials for diverse learners, and integrating global perspectives into the curriculum.

A Bachelor’s degree in Italian, Italian Studies, Education, Language Studies, or a related field is required; an a dvanced degree is preferred. Secondary school teaching experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with post-secondary teaching experience will be considered.
