We have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Electrician to join our company at our Cherokee, IA production facility.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What Youll Do:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, industrial machinery, and production equipment.
  • Perform electrical and maintenance functions necessary to maintain all service equipment (palletizers, conveyors, bagging equipment, bucket elevators, augers, HVAC, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Process Control Systems such as Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Motor Controls, etc.
  • Accurately complete reports, logs, and maintain records on equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctions of defective equipment by performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development, installation, and maintenance of new or enhanced mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Adhere to all quality systems and safety procedures including environmental regulations OSHA and PSM.
  • Make recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including the addition of new devices and hardware.
  • May serve as a Safety Program Leader.
  • Various other duties as assigned.



  • You have your High School Diploma/GED.

What Skills You Need:

  • You have working knowledge of diagnosing and troubleshooting power and electrical controls using AC and DC voltages ranging from 24V to 480V 3 Phase Motors and Controls.
  • You can accurately use Industrial Electronic Testing Equipment such as: Megger, Multimeter, Amp Meter, and other testing equipment as required.
  • You have a valid US drivers license.
  • You possess working knowledge of and are willing/able to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC) requirements.
  • You are comfortable in your ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • You have good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required.
  • You are willing and able to perform the physical aspects of the job with or without reasonable accommodation: climb and/or work in elevated areas, stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, dusty, and dry conditions, lift up to sixty (60) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting.
  • You can work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You have a high level of attentiveness, can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent critical thinking skills.

  • You are willing and able to work a rotating shift with on-call availability, and overtime hours including nights and weekends when needed to support operations.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Industrial Electronics, Industrial Technology, Automation, or related field.
  • Military experience in Electricity, Electronics, Power Distribution, or related field.
