Project Manager, Global Discovery position applies a unique blend of technology, process and business skills in supporting the Legal Department. Project Managers are accountable for administering the Enterprise Discovery Program across a portfolio of legal matters, working closely with multiple parties, both internal and external, to maximize the use of new technologies and developing discovery lifecycle technology and process enhancements.
Responsibilities May Include: - Serving as the primary point of contact to guide litigation parties through the Phillips 66 Enterprise Discovery process; executing on deliverables in a timely manner while meeting preservation, discovery and evidentiary requirements
- Working closely with in-house attorney work teams, outside counsel and vendors to develop discovery strategies, work plans and budgets
- Creating, maintaining and utilizing litigation databases to support case needs throughout the discovery lifecycle
- Understanding and implementation of Structured Analytics principles (email threading, near duplicate identification), Conceptual Analytics (clustering and concept visualization), and Active Learning (technology assisted review) to bring workflow efficiencies and value-added technologies into Enterprise Discovery process
- Possessing technical expertise in performing data loads and processing electronic data in Relativity, including extensive data format knowledge and issue resolution capabilities
- Teaming with the Phillips 66 IT organization to develop collection and early case assessment workflows utilizing discovery best practices and technology
- Creating functional use guidelines and Enterprise Discovery best practices documentation
- Training end users, both internal and external, in discovery technologies and providing exceptional support
- Managing project schedules, budgets and costs associated with discovery
Required Qualifications: - Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 5 or more years of experience in corporate, vendor, law firm or consulting fields demonstrating discovery skill set
Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced degree associated with Information Technology, Business Administration or Legal Studies
- Highly developed understanding of the litigation process, including all phases of the discovery lifecycle and technologies, including legal hold, preservation, collection, processing, review, production, and trial support
- Proficient knowledge and experience of electronic discovery best practices
- Functional proficiency in Relativity discovery application and eDiscovery Certifications
- Developed user in Microsoft products - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI
- Creative thinker with strong analytical and technical skills
- Advanced interpersonal skills and connection ability
- Developed organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to successfully work and collaborate with a variety of position levels from peer groups to upper-level Legal management
- Capability to write concise process and end user documentation
- Deadline driven along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to change
- Candidate must be an initiative-taker with strong attention to detail and be able to work independently and as an effective part of a team
