Episcope is now looking for an experienced, passionate Events Manager for The Landing. Operating Monday -Friday, located in NYC Penn District. Position: Event Manager

Salary:  $75,000/year
Location:   Rooftop and event spaces, hosting up to 400 guests

Overview:We’re seeking an experienced, outgoing Event Manager to lead high-profile events at our rooftop and large event venues. In this leadership role, you’ll manage the full event lifecycle—from client acquisition and planning to post-event follow-up—while supervising teams and ensuring smooth operations. You will also play a key role in building strong relationships with our partners, ensuring their needs are handled efficiently and with care. Event and hospitality experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of events, including setup, guest flow, and breakdown.
  • Conduct site visits for prospective clients, showcasing the venue and discussing event logistics.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and staffing plans to ensure all operational aspects are covered.
  • Collaborate with kitchen, service, and third-party teams (e.g., production, AV) to ensure event goals are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and mentor event staff, ensuring high service standards and efficient teamwork.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring all event equipment is available and in good condition.
  • Resolve real-time issues during events, making quick decisions to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and upper management to provide feedback and suggest improvements for future events.
  • Ability to work long hours when necessary to ensure the success of each event, particularly during setup, event execution, and breakdown.
  • Manage client relations throughout the process, ensuring their vision is met and post-event follow-ups are completed (invoicing, feedback, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with all building regulations related to event operations.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in event management, including planning, execution, and team supervision.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Friendly, personable, and able to build strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Outgoing, detail-oriented, and quick to solve problems in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with event management software (e.g., Tripleseat, Toast, Seven Rooms, etc.) and budgeting tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
