Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in the water and wastewater industry. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants and related infrastructure projects, such as irrigation pump stations, remote wells, amenity lake pump stations, and surface water projects. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of reliable, efficient, and sustainable solutions in the field of water and wastewater management.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for projects.
  • Conduct electrical load calculations, power distribution analysis, and equipment selection.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation components.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Perform technical reviews and provide guidance on electrical engineering aspects of projects.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and assess the viability of proposed electrical systems.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electrical engineering for water and wastewater applications.
Job Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Experience in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, motor controls, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and control systems integration.
  • Familiarity with medium voltage is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex electrical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
