Summary

 
Our Christian faith-based child care and nursery school seeks an experienced and dedicated Director to lead and nurture our vibrant and engaging program.

Duties

Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of a high quality, Grow NJ 4-star rated child care center offering full-day child care and morning preschool programs, which provide a safe and enriching environment for approximately 100 children, aged 2.5-6 years old.

Maintain age-appropriate curriculum and activities to promote growth of the whole child in developmentally appropriate ways.
Preserve compliance with all state requirements, licensing regulations, health and safety standards including completing necessary paperwork and documentation.

Support a highly qualified staff by actively training, guiding, and engaging with current and prospective employees.
Cultivate open communication with parents to address concerns and provide updates on their child's progress.
Foster a favorable, collaborative and inclusive environment for staff, students, and parents.
As a ministry of Calvary Lutheran Church, collaborate with the congregation Pastor to help students and families experience and learn about God?s love.
Promote a positive image of the preschool and build connections within the community.

Requirements

Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree required, major in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in a leadership role within a child care setting.
Strong knowledge of state regulations and licensing requirements for preschools.
Experience with Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum and GOLD.
Passion for working with young children and fostering their growth and development.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Must pass health screening and background checks.
• Bachelor?s Degree or Master?s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
