The Director of Business Development is responsible for leading with sales activities of the agency and implementation of the business development plan, which includes: prospecting, lead generation and qualification, presentation development and follow-up. Kadiko can provide some pipeline, and we need someone whose daily job is to strategize around key markets, package/bundle offerings, follow up, pitch and win business.
Prior work experience at a marketing, advertising, communication, staffing or digital agency in a business development role is desired.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of selling through thoughtful, creative and solution-based sales strategies.
Understand the actual solutions we sell, including video and the various packages that can be bundled or sold later.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and drive new business activities from start to finish
Work to build relationships between agency and key prospects /contacts through attending events and mining databases
Serve as the first point of contact for all clients and partners. Generate and handle inquires, manage pitches, and on-board new clients
Manage/keep regular contact with companies on the prospect list
Develop/update new the capabilities deck as needed per meeting to communicate the right message
Complete RFPs and RFIs
Coordinate presentation/pitch approaches of varying sizes (individual and multi-agency pitches). Manage and attend meetings and pitches to assess chemistry fit
Be an internal connector between all Kadiko internal account teams, aka “pods”
Work directly with upper management to support the business development needs across our agency
Prepare and circulate periodic new business status and meeting reports
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of relevant sales/business development work experience required.
Agency experience is highly preferred. Need to understand the solutions we sell to be successful.
Experience producing agreements and proposals required.
