Job Description

This is an entry level position that provides administrative and coordination support for multiple projects in the conduct of clinical research projects. This position may assist with study coordination but will not be assigned clinical trials independently. This position may provide coordination for clinical research projects such as registries, retrospective data reviews, studies in long-term follow-up, and other non-interventional studies.

This is a regular but term-limited position, which will end after one year.

Additional job duties include:

  • Conduct literature reviews for study hypotheses and to support study rationales in upper GI oncology  
  • Assist in preparation of manuscript drafts 
  • Perform basic statistical analysis for clinical projects 
  • Data collection for retrospective studies
  • Submit appropriate IRBs for retrospective studies
  • Maintain retrospective study database and/or patient registries
  • Participate in and gains appropriate training in EMR and secure database management 
  • Participates in clinical trial design course online 
  • Willing to learn clinical research tools available at the University (e.g - EMERSE, Precision Oncology Database)
  • Training in statistical software 

Supervision received : This position receives direct supervision and should report directly to a Clinical Research Coordinator Lead, Clinical Research Project Manager, Administrator, or Faculty Principal Investigator.

  • High school diploma or GED is necessary. 
  • Bachelors degree with experience in clinical research. 
  • Interest in upper gastrointestinal cancers. 

This position is full time 40 hours/week.
