The Role: Chief Engineer - Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to manage all maintenance and engineering operations for our Hilton brand hotels in Wisconsin or the Chicagoland area. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in hotel engineering, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and functionality. Adherence to Hilton brand standards is essential.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee hotel engineering and maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and address maintenance issues.
  • Manage and train the engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support hotel operations.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Oversee energy conservation programs.
  • Prepare and manage the engineering department budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel engineering management, preferably with Hilton.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certified Hotel Engineer (CHE) designation is a plus.
  • Adherence to Hilton brand standards is essential.
