Job Description
As a Senior Artificial Intelligence Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of developing and deploying advanced AI algorithms to tackle complex research and business challenges. You'll work with diverse data sets, both structured and unstructured, to uncover patterns and insights that drive decision-making and improve efficiency. Your role will involve collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance IT capabilities and contribute to strategic AI-driven projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions to support high-impact research and operational goals.
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, relationships, and patterns, leveraging both structured and unstructured data.
Incorporate voice and pattern recognition technologies into innovative solutions.
Provide guidance and training to other team members involved in AI projects.
Collaborate with teams to enhance hydrosystem modeling and develop analytical tools for scientific use.
Contribute to the planning, design, and execution of research projects, including data analysis, outcome monitoring, and creative project development.
Support strategic planning and implementation of AI-driven projects, ensuring the development of robust and scalable systems.
Develop and implement AI solutions such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and deep learning techniques for data analysis and visualization.
Create and maintain Python libraries, apply DevOps practices, and use software engineering best practices to address complex problems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with six years of experience, or a Master's degree with four years of experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning.
Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or expected to complete by the start of employment).
Strong proficiency in AI techniques, including natural language processing, deep learning, and LLMs.
Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and optimizing AI/ML tasks.
Skilled in mining and analyzing large-scale data, including social media data, using API integration and NLP techniques.
Advanced programming skills in Python, with experience in libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Keras, and TensorFlow.
Experience in developing and deploying software using CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
Knowledge of front-end development technologies and data visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with hydrology or environmental science research.
Experience in developing Generative AI solutions and custom chatbots.
Expertise in scientific data management and cloud environments (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
Knowledge of test-driven development practices and agile software development.
Experience with data science and analytics, including social media analytics.
